NAVIGATING THE PROCESS
When a severe storm comes through and your home is affected, you will want to have an experienced inspector come and assess your home for any serious damage. Delta Roofing & Exteriors offers free inspections for just such incidents.
If damage is found it will be time to contact your homeowner’s insurance company. The benefit of retaining Delta Roofing & Exteriors to complete your repairs is that you will have a restoration consultant who will meet with your claims adjuster to inspect the damage together. The adjuster will determine the scope of repairs needed and the insurance company will send that information to the homeowner detailing the exact damage and the amount the insurance company will cover. At this point you will have empowered your Delta Roofing & Exteriors consultant to negotiate on your behalf for the scope of work to be certain that all the damage is addressed. Once all parties are satisfied you will enter into a contract with Delta Roofing & Exteriors to complete the repairs and turn over the first check you receive from your insurance company. Soon thereafter, usually within a few days, materials will be delivered and repairs will be completed to your satisfaction. The repairs will be inspected by the building inspections department of your local municipality and possibly by your insurance company as well. When all parties agree the work is complete Delta Roofing & Exteriors will submit an invoice to you, which you will in turn submit to your insurance company for final payment. The homeowner will always be responsible to pay the deductible amount of the claim. It is specifically prohibited for building contractors to agree to pay the homeowner’s deductible portion so be wary if a contractor is offering to cover your deductible.
